Module Overview

Module one is all about preparing for recruiting success. I give a brief introduction on how the course is structured and then jump into the good stuff! REMEMBER: There are NO guarantees with the recruiting process! There is no substitute for outstanding talent and grades - period.

Questions to Ask Yourself

  • How bad do you want it?
  • How good are you? What level do you fit in at?
  • It’s time to get real.. are you willing to work hard enough to join the elite?

Focus On Getting Good Grades

This is interesting.. There was actually a recent study that came out and proved that college students who work anywhere from 19 to 30 hours a week while in college and attending classes actually have a higher GPA than those who don’t. NO, you don’t have to work on top of athletics.. it can sometimes just be too much and you run out of time in the day. However, you’re going to be spending 19-30 hours a week working on your craft and your sport, so that’s just one more reason to play college sports!

  • Getting good grades can literally “DOUBLE” the amount of scholarship money you can receive
  • Become the best version of yourself and remember just about all college student-athletes will go pro in something other than sports!

Get a good ACT/SAT score

  • Take a prep course! This is something I wish I would’ve done. Take it seriously and get a great score this first time vs. having to take it 3 or 4 times
  • Take practice exams
  • Plenty of schools have scholarship cutoffs — many times students can literally receive $5,000 more in scholarship money if they scored just 1 point higher!
